About

I’m Alban Fetahi, a Solution Engineer at Microsoft.

I spent most of my career as a network engineer. That’s where I started, and it’s still where my head goes first. Over the years I moved into the cloud and now work across cloud infrastructure as a whole, but networking is the part I keep coming back to. Networking and cloud networking are the topics I genuinely love.

The Cloud Wire is my notebook. It’s where I write down the things worth keeping. How a design actually behaves on the wire. Why the obvious approach falls apart at scale. The fix that took a day to find and a line to apply.

Most posts come straight out of a lab I built to prove something to myself. Some are deep dives. Some are short notes. All of it is hands-on, not theory.

Most of what I write lands somewhere in here:

  • Cloud networking. Azure networking, hybrid connectivity, DNS, load balancing, network design.
  • Cloud infrastructure. Landing zones, IaC, governance, resilient design.
  • Cloud security. Zero Trust, identity-driven access, network segmentation.
